They have done a lot of sight-seeing in their spare time already. They've said that the historical "touristy" areas of New Orleans look virtually unscathed from last year's hurricanes... but many of the outlying neighborhoods are still in total ruin. Many of them are completely abandoned. The destruction is unimaginable.
Please keep my mom and dad in your prayers this week as my dad competes and as they travel. :) Thanks! I'm sure they'll post something when they come back.
