Eric was awarded his Purple Heart today. Two Marines were awarded theirs at the same time, Timmer, who was wounded in the same attack as Eric, and Blackburn who was wounded later.
The picture three facing the camera are: Timmer, Eric, and Cook. Cook was wounded in the same attack as Eric and Timmer but was awarded his Purple Heart earlier.
